Eco farm is a family run farm comprising of approximately 40 
hectares of woodland and pastures. We came to Fance to start a small hobby farm, we had no idea it was going to progress this far. We did not know that a few years down the road we would be making cheese, butter, ice-cream and the likes and culling our own animals for meat.
We have been here for 10 years gradually finding a better way of living with the land, through learning with plenty of trial & error.
With hard work & sweat we are making our way to a more -'world friendly' way of living, call it self-sufficient, self -supporting, eco community or what ever. Although still far from where we would like to be, each year shows improvements and developments towards our goals.
Our objective is not to recreate an ancient farm, instead, take the good things about the old ways of farming and mix it with the modern. To create a more harmonious environment for us, the animals & mother earth.
The majority of the farm work is done by our two Percheron mares. Here on our farm we do Horse Training, logging, agricultural work, transporting loads and driving.
We only use the tractor for jobs that are impossible to do with horses or too strenuous for thier well being.
On our farm, nature and the diversity of plants and animals is very important. Eco Ferme breeds a variety of animal species including rare breeds of livestock.
We cultivate a variety of vegetable's,
Herb's and medicinal plants .
Each year we plant different species of plants..
This year 2007 we have planted a hundred osier's in the boggy parts of our land, like the over flow of the lake.

In the forest we harvest only the surplus, that means, fallen trees, diseased and trees that pose a danger .
Eco Ferme uses no chemical fertilisers only farmyard manure.
