Milking
Hello everyone with the quickly passing year there are still projects to be finished and started.
2007 achievements so far.
- 100 metres of living fence
- re-roofing of the llama shed
- planting over 80 osier plants below lake ( for future basket making)
- website building since April 2007. July 2007 marked over 8000 visitors
This winter projects +2008
building a big landes hen house on 4 stilts (anti-fox)
By putting 4 big hard-wood posts in the ground and building the hen house on top with ladder pole for the chickens, it will have a lated floor to let dropping fall down into the boarded bottom (of the posts) for easy cleaning. For Garden manure.
- 150 metres of woven fencing for angora goats
- New raised beds for veg/fruit using llama dung
- finishing pebble path in herb garden
- planting fruit and nut trees
- Getting the weaving loom up and running
Big long term project 2008+
- Digging the silt out of the lake and cleaning the sides
- Lots & lots of fencing
- Getting the house well working off a hand pump
- buying a wind turbine for pumping a field well to sheep shed and pig sty's
