Mallards

They can start mallards -  Eco ferme copyright  'all rights reserved'breeding at 1 year old, the female lays 6-14 olive green eggs in spring. Incubation is 26-28 days, They are happy to live outside all year round. Although they appreciate a fox-prof shed to sleep in. Ducklings can be culled in the year making a 800g-1kl roast. Feeding consists of any grain, wheat, corn, barley, they also like bread.

Birds - Eco fermehese graceful birds are excellent Eco lawn mowers, they will keep the grass down around the house, lake or orchard. Geese are also good guard dogs, by calling when they see someone. They reproduce in spring laying 5-15 eggs, which the goose hatches herself. They are devoted parents.

They are often let go at weddings.
Although always referred to as doves they are in fact, from the pigeon family.
These are prolific and hardy birds. Being happy to forage for them self's with the addition of some grain, to help feed the young ones.
A dove cote or pigeon shed/aviary will suffice, having the option to lock them in, is a good idea. 

 

Silkys

You can get black & brown strains of silkys. The primarily use for these birds is there superb brooding instincts, being often used to hatch exotic pheasant eggs and the like. Silky are fairly hardy chickens that are docile by nature.
