woven fencing
This week we made a woven fence at the side of the llama shed,to ease getting the llamas to bed at night. The llamas usually go straight in the shed for their feed but with the new crias, the babiesgo passed the doorway and around the shed , making the mums go back out to shed, to find them. So after numerous round and round the mulberry brush , I'd decide it was time we put up a fence. We could have put it up inpallets or electric, but we went for the natural pleasing to look at option ( and totally free). We got some of the old fence posts and knocked in the ground neat the shed, two long posts side by side , about 10cm apart. We then knocked in another two the same the other side. Some twine was then run from one sideto the other, to make sure all the post in between were straight. The posts were then knocked in, a long post then a shorter post alternatly , every 1m, until we reached the other end.We then fetch lots & lots of branches to weave in between the posts from our forest. Photo show it nearly finished as the top rails are held with twine , we will be replacing the twine with holes and wooden peg's. So no nails or metal was use to make the fence
