They are here at last!!
The 10 llamas we brought in north American/canada, including two suri stud (one white and one silver) 6 female pregnant to different suri blood lines and 2 crias.
They arrived at the German airport onthe 20 March. After being in quarantine and having numerous blood tests plusa wheel barrow full of paper work! We hire a 3 place horse box, the biggest we could find and drove to Germany to pick them up. After some unforeseen administrative & customs problems and yet more money
we loaded them in and made our way back to France. We stop every few hours to let everyone have a rest. Night set in so we stopped for the night, steve sleeping in the land rover and me having the more wiser idea of snuggle between 'Piece of cake' and caviar surprisingly they didn't mind me tucking up next to them
, and in fact they appreciated the extra heat. I was woke up a few hours laterby steve saying he'd been waken by the cold and decided to drive a bit more. So i had to move from my warm nest of llamas back to the cold car
. We arrived back the next day at noon and let the llamas into the barn we had prepared for the for yet another 30days of quarantine. They soon started eating the round bale of sweet smelling haylag we had put in for them.
